Knitted elastic is an elastic textile produced by knitting polyester, nylon or cotton yarn together with latex — softer and more skin-friendly than woven elastic. It is preferred for light and medium applications: underwear, medical textiles and face-mask production.
Tekis has been a knitted-elastic manufacturer in Istanbul since 1996. Four products — standard knitted, buttonhole, underwear and mask elastic — from 5mm to 100mm wide, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
What Is Knitted Elastic — How Does It Differ from Woven?
In knitted elastic, the yarns are knitted together — while in woven elastic, they are woven. This fundamental difference determines the characteristics of the final product:
